Bill Sheridan all he did was blitz every play even though we weren’t even getting close to Rivers. It was brutal coaching.
All they’re going to do is pass and the blitz wasn’t working.
I know what we should do, blitz some more. Sheridan needs to go.

Its just brutal execution. Sheridan shouldn’t have been made D-coordinator. And Gilbride I hope everyone saw his calls today and realized why he has been fired so many times.

after the hold, we were pretty much playing for 3, wtf was that shit
i dunno what it is about the d, it played well in spurts today, but too many guys and too much space is left wide open on so many plays

and does anyone know what happened to tynes on that first kick?’
get rid of him, that was, um, kinda critical

it was a crazy game to watch via gamecast. i can’t see the plays, but when the offense was going it looked awesome. statistically, manning (no picks!) and jacobs had good games. had to punch it in from the 4 yd line though. didn’t see it, don’t know what happened, but if they score a TD there it is game over.
defense looked pretty good (from here) for big chunks of the game (2 picks!), but clearly lapsed into a coma on other drives including the last 2 minutes.
feagles magic finally seems to have worn out.

The d was in trouble because Sheridan blitzes almost every play on that last drive. They weren’t getting any pressure on Rivers not even hitting him right after he let go of the ball. So he was blitzing and allowing man coverage all over the field and getting burned.

the d was honestly very lucky throughout the game
chargers’ receivers dropped a bunch of catchable balls

every loss in football season is a big one and it hurts a little bit more b/c they could have gone into the bye on a high note after the suckitude of weeks 6-8. i did see a lot of improvement in today’s game, but they really coulda/shoulda beat the chargers by 10.

Overall, yes. But at the end of the game in the final drive we had the game in our hands.
First from the high seas!
