    from mc:

In his most recent Marchand Minute for 1050 ESPN Radio, Andrew Marchand cites an associate of the
Wilpons as saying the only way to get the Mets to spend money this offseason will be public pressure.

so….we have to all start bitching LOUDER!!!!

Gameday is saying Pelf is throwing a 96 mph four seamer. If that’s true, that’s a good sign.

  20. Comment posted by DL on September 18, 2009 at 8:14 pm (#1083026)

he’s been throwing 94-96 consistently for a while now, i think

  22. Comment posted by Lunkwill Fook on September 18, 2009 at 8:16 pm (#1083027)

Earlier in the season, his four seamer was only going at about 92-93 and his two seamer was 89-90. John, you know if his two seamer has regained any movement?

Wilson Valdez, by the way, is awesome.

  27. Comment posted by John on September 18, 2009 at 8:24 pm (#1083030)

so far tonight he’s averaged 93.28 with a max of 95.5

thats a bit off since its classifying all pitches as four seamers and we know thats not true.

his movement is -8.02 horizontal and 6.96 vertical

But again they havent separated four seam and two seam……..actually…….they are very grouped together this start for some reason.

So erm in other words…..its hard to tell lol

  28. Comment posted by John on September 18, 2009 at 8:26 pm (#1083031)

    He’s definitely throwing harder tho.

    We need to go 162-0.

I would settle for one goddamn no hitter this year right now.

    lol!

    from who, pat misch?

    redding?

this team is absolutely finishing 63-99

and no one will end up getting fired

the phillies will at least make a run at another title

then next year we slog through a 75-80 win season and watch the remaining nl east teams all take major steps forward
