Update, 4:45 pm:

Jerry Manuel said before tonight’s game that he will keep Livan Hernandez will remain in the team’s starting rotation.

Also, Manuel is still optimistic that Carlos Beltran will play again this year, as he took fly balls in the outfield today.

Alex Gonzalez headed to Red Sox

Cincinnati Reds shortstop Alex Gonzalez cleared waivers and was traded by the Reds to the Red Sox on Friday for Minor League shortstop Kris Negron.
Gonzalez, 32, will wear No. 13 and will join the club tomorrow. He is batting .210 with three home runs and 26 RBI in 68 games for the Reds this season, all at shortstop. The right-handed hitter has made six errors in 266 total chances and ranks eighth among National League shortstops (minimum 250 TC) with a .977 fielding percentage this year.

there’s a few teams out there with worse situations

we did sign our 3 n 4, they just stink ;) and the 2 and 5 are what we’re having issues. and gunhouse was a last round guy so that’s a 1 in a million shot
