Oh, and Calhoun is getting roasted. Absolutely torched. I know very little about college basketball (or college sports in general for that matter), but I do know that he has been a staple of that university for over two decades and is one of the most highly recognizable figures in all of college sports. I can’t even begin to imagine how much money he and that program have brought into that school since he’s been head coach.
They chose to pay him that money and now he’s supposed to just give it back because the state is financially fucked? How about every scumbag politician in this country that’s been lining their pockets with taxpayer money since the beginning of time take a pay cut in order to help alleviate this recent crisis? All of these cocksuckers with part time jobs collecting insane salaries and multiple pensions make me sick.
He didn’t stick a gun to anybody’s head and demand an annual salary of over one million. That’s what they choose to give him for the services he provides. And now that he’s won his 800th game the state government is taking umbrage with his salary? Fuck them.
