That’d be kinda rad except for the fact that it would put Kurt Warner in the game and people who can’t shut up about their religious beliefs for two contiguous seconds in front of a microphone.

I thought the play calling was like How to Kill a Would-Be Drive 101.
The cutesy passing game in the 1st half in run situations was retarded and stymied just about every building drive. The bootleg that Eli threw for the INT too. And then the non-stop running in the 2nd half when they needed to throw. It’s like they thought they had to trick the Eagles defense instead of just running up the middle and all over it. Which, by the way, is my way of asking why the fuck were they using all the running plays around the edges - the sweeps and shit. Run it up the fucking gut w/Jacobs (who was benched an awful lot in the 1st half…).
Defense was very admirable, but shit. Gilbride and Eli were retarts.

MIAMI (SP) — Shortly after leading the Florida Gators to a national
championship with a 24-14 win over Oklahoma, junior quarterback Tim
Tebow announced that he would skip his senior season and ascend
directly into heaven.
Tebow entered the press room to wild applause. A reporter for a 24-
hour cable sports network burst into tears when the 2007 Heisman
winner entered the room. Another threw a pair of boxer shorts on the
podium. Tebow smiled at the gesture and several sports reporters
fainted.
“Sorry I’m late,” Tebow began. “There was a six-year-old boy with
cancer in row 54 and I had to make my way through the crowd to heal
him.”
“I want to start by saying that playing quarterback for the University
of Florida, winning two national championships, has been a great
honor. There has been some speculation about my future and I want to
clear that up right now,” he continued.
“Don’t go, Tim!” a reporter shouted from the back of the room.
“After much consideration, I have decided to skip my senior season at
the University of Florida and ascend directly into Heaven,” Tebow
announced. Upon making the announcement, Tebow was bathed in a
blinding white light and vanished.
In response to the news, ESPN announced they will have a month-long
tribute to Tebow. ESPN2 will now be known as ESPN-TEBOW and will
feature Tebow highlights (including home videos of Tebow’s childhood),
re-airings of past interviews, Tebow-centric analysis by ESPN air
personalities, a Tebow quiz show and a reality show to find the “most
Tebow-like” person in America.
“He wasn’t just the greatest player in college football history,” said
a college football writer at the press conference, tears streaming
down his face. “He might have been the greatest person to ever walk on
earth.”

Maybe he proves me wrong but I think it was alot of Jacobs involved in those yds. As far as Plax hes let me down no doubt but he didnt put out a hit on anyone or gun down anyone or shoot doggies. He did a stupid thing. People always do dumb things. Lets hope he learns from it moves on. Maybe he grows up from it. Im willing to give him a second chance if he grows up and learns from it

Mets offer 3-yr Deal to Perez
By Matthew Cerrone - Jan 12, 2009 8:02 pm
During tonight’s Hot Stove show on the MLB Network, SI.com’s Jon Heyman said the Mets offered free-agent LHP Oliver Perez a three-year deal, ‘worth close to $30 million.’
Heyman says the Mets are discouraged by negotiations with Lowe, who is also being pursued by the Braves, ‘any maybe the Phillies, and maybe the Brewers.’
According to Heyman, Omar Minaya prefers Perez, but the rest of the front office prefers Lowe.
Earlier in the off-season, Heyman told WFAN that Perez had been seeking a five-year, $80 million deal.
This is refreshing too hear, with the only drawback being Scott Boras is the agent for both Ollie and Lowe. We seem to just be sitting around while Boras and Lowe try to get ANYONE else involved in the bidding for Lowe. Maybe us getting involved with Ollie will put some pressure back on Lowe.
OMG Direct Snap that fails. This is the most stupid team ever.

LOL at LFM post about Warner. I also think Phillip Rivers is a douche too….
I just need for Philly to not win a WS and SB in the same year. Especially w/two really unexceptional teams.
Don’t worry, Lister. Somehow that was Burress’ fault for not being there.
awful sorry about the big blue’s tough loss. sports fandom can be a real heartbreaker. we have all been there with the variou teams we are loyal to…
add Delhomme to that list I made above
It’s hard to be heartbroken after a lame ass performance like that. They deserved to lose, probably by more than they even did. Offense was channeling Tom Glavine on the last day of the 2007 season.
Rivers is an enormous douche who will never beat a team from Maryland
There are too many God Squad athletes to say I hate all of them
tron plays CF for the god squad
Church is the RF on the God squad too. It’s hard to be mad at the G-Men after what they gave us next year. They’re in the championship halo.
They pushed it pretty close in the stupid way they lost though. Gilbride acted like he had someone with Favre in his prime behind center, Eli just doesn’t have the arm strength to get it done.
This sounds crazy, but I say if the Giants lost to Carolina they would have won at home against the Cardinals. Of course that would have meant probably losing to the Eagles in the championship game.
nice, i hope it snows during this game. looks like it was a little
well, this def isn’t as bad as tebow winning the title
There’s guys who are religious, though, which I have nothing against… there’s guys who are really religious and talk about it occasionally and when appropriate and that’s fine too!
It’s the guys who… just… can’t… SHUT UP about it that drive me up the fourth wall.
hahaha
i have a funny spoof article about tebow, i’ll find it
oh my gawd
what a catch. what a drive
this game is going to turn nutty too now
what about guys for whom a good case could be made that they ARE jesus, like tebow or j-roll?
this is crazy lol.
hahaha
Well the Giants deserved to lose that one.
I said it here once the Eagles got in that I didn’t wanna see this match up. And the final result of today’s game is the reason why.
They are last years Giants. They are going to the SB and Philly is going to have it’s second championship team in one year.
Where did u find that article?
lol tebow.
Tebow doesnt bug me but my god that announcer in the championship game talking about him…….I nearly had to mute my TV.
I still won’t really hate the Eagles unless Donovan (who I like) starts talking shit about random Giants players at his victory parade
i saw it on another mets site, no link to the original source. it has an onion feel, not sure if its them though. sorry
here it is chris
yeah and it’s depressing
btw, douchebaginess factor:
Donovan McNabb = Jimmy Rollins
I posted the story on my facebook. Thanks Dep
no problemo
I wouldn’t throw in the hate for the Eagles with my Phillies hate. Five doesn’t talk nearly as much shit as J-Roll and the Giants actually just won the Super Bowl last year.
wat
All I need is this chair. That’s it. And this ashtray. I don’t need anything but this chair, and this ashtray. And this lamp.
jackson is amazing
but that was no catch. wow
Dear San Diego,
RE: Sproles as your main running back next year?
Maybe… maybe not so much.
1st and 5 at the Eagle 20, and Gilbride calls for three straight passes? How the hell do you not call a running play in that series of downs, especially when Jacobs theoretically had just gained 5 at the 2 minute warning. Just awful. And the 3-and-20…that’s where the game got away from the Giants. Damn I hate Philadelphia sports team, and their annoying fanbase. What, did the sports gods have a turnover in personnel, and suddenly they found some sympathy for that awful sports town?
how many days til baseball? :)
how many days til
baseballI get my new TV? :(I’m with ya, Jas.
I hate everything Philly-sports related.
And McNabb is a douchebag “phone-call” punk.
man this game is looking lots like the giants game
until that return
and rivers is much better than eli
LOL!
wtf
Hey, the Chargers finally got a third down stop.
I really can’t see anybody beating the Steelers.
aaaargghhh wherees fatty and shea,,, ????
i am so pissseddd off eagles suckkk andd,,,,
we lose to d mcnabb and nr dbagg awkins ??? psss me off ??
Well, the biggest thing the Giants need to do is resign Jacobs and resolve the Plax situation. Either keep him or release him and find a top flight guy
Totally agreed Chris. Jacobs comes before Ward imo. Bradshaw I believe potentially anyway can be just as good. I think Ward benefited from Jacobs softening the defense for his long runs. Im willing to give him a second chance if he grows up and learns from it
Everyone see/hear this?
This is refreshing too hear, with the only drawback being Scott Boras is the agent for both Ollie and Lowe. We seem to just be sitting around while Boras and Lowe try to get ANYONE else involved in the bidding for Lowe. Maybe us getting involved with Ollie will put some pressure back on Lowe.
