Its difficult I think because ok the mets are a big market team and yes they have a ton of money and yes they are near the top in payroll. The problem it doesnt seem to matter since the sox and yankees have MORE cash so we lose out to them.

Maddux is easily among the top 5 pitchers of his generation and he definitely had the Mets number in the late 90s.

I liked him cause he always had a bad ass 5 o’clock shadow…and he could hit…and field and was an all around good player…..but schmaltz probably had better stuff, and he played puck which is nice
