Jenks is rapidly going downhill. If we make the move I am confident we are giving up far too much for the deal.
They’re trying to salary dump Vasquez. Jenks is the problem for us because Omar will ignore all the warning signs, fastball losing its life in a hurry and weight issues.
Jenks will be the pitching version of Mo Vaughn. No way we should touch that with a ten foot pole.
But if we trade all our chips for Jenks, we probably have to settle for a salary dump in LF. Jose Guillen is my 1st choice

So, the person who was supposed to come by my car which I desperately need to sell didn’t show up today and I have to leave town for a week tomorrow. I’m so pissed.
I prefer the “no pants”. But that’s just me.
BTW, that shit happens all the time. People suck, Lunk. We didn’t even bother trying to sell our old car privately. I managed to negotiate a very good offer for a trade in. A) just about what I expected if we were to sell it ourselves. B) less hassle. C) comes right off the top tax free. You needed that money in order to make payments on the new ride?
I was considering trading it in but, honestly, I wouldn’t get much for this car. Probably in the area of $300 trade in value. Trying to get $1000 for it. It’s a perfectly good running, inspectionable car. Just pisses me off.
I don’t NEED the money but it would make things easier.
Just pisses me off because I gave her PLENTY of time to back out of it. I even called her yesterday to make sure everything was cool.

I can’t blame you for trying if you know that trade in will only fetch you $300 or so. It’s just that selling used cars privately is such a hassle. Now you know first hand. Get any other legit bites or was this it?
I had others. I’ll just have to put it out on craigslist again. Problem is at this point, the car isn’t legal because I transferred the plates to the new car yesterday. I’m going to have to stash it somewhere so I don’t get a ticket for having it on the street.
Now that’s a problem. Well I do hope you can work around this situation and finally get that car sold. Unfortunately this week away is really going to throw a major wrench into everything. Best of luck, bro.
Yeah, that’s what makes this so agonizing. I really needed to have it sold by this weekend. The good thing is I can keep the car at my girlfriend’s work. They have a gated private lot.

Lunkster: how long can you keep the car in their lot? I can’t imagine her place is gonna allow it to sit there for an extended period of time.
It’s a small company of three people who are friends of mine also. I can pretty much keep it there indefinitely.

That is indeed a small company! Well it’s a nice temporary solution. So do that, go away for your week, and don’t stress about it. The car will be off the street and you won’t have to dwell. Then you can get back to dealing with it when you come home.
Oh and Mr. Pants, there’s no hate. We just goofin!

leave the car in a bad neighborhood with some CDs on the seat, it should be gone by the morning. Don’t leave any of the CDs Lew was mentioning yesterday, nobody would steal those.
hah. Well, if I wanted that ending, Timmy, I’d just donate it to a good charity. All I have on the car is liability insurance and that runs out at the end of the month.
