    Yeah they are. John, the announcer for ESPN was screaming the whole added time, “HOLD ONTO THE BALL.”

    What makes giving up a late goal in soccer so much worse is there so much pitch to get through and if you are playing defensively…teams that lack quality can tie you 0-0.

    But if you are up a goal late, there is no excuse for giving it up unless its a fluke goal or a fluke bounce that leads to a FK or PK.

    just wanted to add this story…

    so i went to a favorite bar last night in wilmington delaware…and as my friend and i walked in, a tall gentleman screamed “HEY! DO YOU LIKE THE PHILLIES?!?”
    Obviously, i said, “hell no!”…and they screamed, “BUY THOSE MEN BEERS!”…I looked closer, and determined it was Evan Longoria and BJ Upton. Then, Dionner Navarro, Aki Iwamura and Rocco Baldelli showed up…bizaare, I know…we hung and drank with them for a few hours, they were super cool…i’m even more pissed they lost to the phillies now…but at least i got a good story out of it…

    As a Phillie phan, there is no doubt that the Phils and its phans are obsessed with the Mets. My first two thoughts when Lidge fell to his knees was #1 the Good Guys won and, #2 F the Mets.

    We know you richie riches will buy Manny, Lowe and any other big name that makes their way on to the market, now that you will be flush with cash with the new stadium and all.
