Tim, a serious question: Did the defense just, like, give up midway through the fourth quarter last week? Or were they just winded?

    ya, winded…..let’s go with that.

    Lipp…they are horrible

I was more than surprised. I had no idea. Good luck this season, Tim.

Danny, how did you know about this clip? And how didn’t the rest of us? Apparently it’s not new.

Ha, it’s been around for a little while and one of my friends is obsessed with it. He still yells and boom goes the dynamite from time to time when he feels it is appropriate.

When they first came here in the mid 90’s I went to every game…then they became the show on turf bs and I couldn’t get tix to save my ass….suffice it to say, I could sit anywhere I want now.

  11. Comment posted by Danny on September 19, 2008 at 4:57 pm (#851949)

hahaha I figured you would love it, Zod.

  12. Comment posted by fatt lipp on September 19, 2008 at 4:57 pm (#851950)

    show on turf

What a great run that was, though. I never had and have not since seen an offensive display like that. It’s like they were playing a different game.

St. Louis and NY are the only ciities in the last decade to have a SB champ and a WS champ…..It’s not gonna happen here again in a loooong time.

sports are cyclical. I just hate rebuilding decades is all.

Saying “last decade” is a little harsh. That essentially boils it down to 10 teams at most, not accounting for repeats.

mook, i absolutely despised that blurb you posted on the last page. why the hell did you have to do that? i thought we were friends…..yikes. i was nervous to start with. then i saw the lineup and starting shaking. then i saw that blurb and started crying. Go Mets ;-)

yeah know what…that blurb I said about the teams winning is wrong…Boston and and NE won…..I got that off an ESPN story somewhere

  27. Comment posted by Danny on September 19, 2008 at 5:09 pm (#851960)

Yeah, but since we haven’t won a game at Turner yet this year, that means we are due, right shea? ;-)

Brewers, definitely. Extremely flawed team. Some good starters but a bad bullpen with a lineup that can be pitched to.

  37. Comment posted by sheadenizen on September 19, 2008 at 5:15 pm (#851966)

I’d rather play the Brewers if those were my choices. Their bullpen sucks as badly as ours.

shea, i thought about not posting it but then i thought of it as being like a no hitter - you have to mention it to get past it.

This is like a different team than the one that lost 4 straight there in may. that team sucked! :)
