    John Holdzkom needed that game.

Marte and Flores continue to rake XBHs and get on base.

Reese Havens is looking rather studly these. Funny how he has better numbers hitting against lefties than righties in his small sample of ABs. Cannot wait until that changes and he begins to destroy right-handers his already high OPS will only get higher.

Dep, your buy Zach Lutz looks good. Saw him hit a rope to Rf for a signle last night, although he then butchered a line drive an inning later, right off his ankle.

Anybody know anything about Rafael Fernandez at Kingsport? Stats look pretty good and seems to have some speed.

I was impressed with the 18 y.o. Mejia. Has a nice mid 90’s fb and a nice 12-6 curve. Needs to work on his change.

Although he gave up 4 ER (all in one inning) it should have been much less as his D let him down and he had to get 5 outs in the inning. Probably should have been out of the inning with only 1 run scoring. Not bad for a kid playing against guys 2-4 years older than him.

That’s good to hear on Mejia, thanks for the insights Ellis.

    Lutz has 14 BB too 11 K, and a .450 OBP. Just 66 AB’s but very encouraging.

And Stegall, still not sure if he’s a prospect, but definitely a big-time athlete (turned down a scholarship to play safety at Florida State, IIRC.) Nice to see strong progress from him as he didn’t look like he’d hit at all last year.

Yeah, Flores with another triple and two walks. Yawn. He’s a bit old for, erm, well, for the little league team I used to coach. But not by much.

hahaha, yea i caught some of that game on SNY last nite too.

Lutz’s swing is sweeeeeeeeeeet. I think his bat is good enough to carry him up some levels. We’ll see if we can find a position he doesnt suck at though! lol

I think Stegall was recruited to play QB/safety for Miami, but yeah aj, he’s a tools guy. The ceiling for him has been Savannah, he can never hit at that level.
