wait, so Billy entered in the 8th?

Yup — he bailed out Santana for the third out after he gave up the hit to Jeter.

4 out save, Ed. Billy’s the man!

Go Billy. Who knew you could get 4 outs in 1 game?

You saved me nodding out while that Damn wife talks to me about being a responsible parent.

  25. Comment posted by sheadenizen on May 17, 2008 at 4:27 pm (#696502)

Harold reynolds said you couldn’t haven’t written a better script. Wagner has all the pressure in the world on him and delivers. And delgado gets a big hit and talks to the press….lol!

  26. Comment posted by udamn on May 17, 2008 at 4:28 pm (#696503)

You are correct Zod but I would take at first for the Mets anyday of the week and twice on Tuesday.

  27. Comment posted by DoctorK16 on May 17, 2008 at 4:29 pm (#696504)

Prince is a strong and pretty fast. If a offensive linemen are athletes why not big Prince.

you have to be that way to be a D lineman

  31. Comment posted by sheadenizen on May 17, 2008 at 4:31 pm (#696508)

I like the 4 of them together and they all have a good sense of humor. I love harold Reynolds.

  32. Comment posted by udamn on May 17, 2008 at 4:35 pm (#696509)

Well they are good especially since none of them really care about hurting feelings. HR doesn’t need the Mets job, Darryl will crush anyone who he offends with his muscles and Mazz loves to knock Willie in hope of getting his job. I also think the other 2 guys help loosen Maz up.

The Mets need to bottle this game. It was a text book game in many respects. They scored, tacked on runs, played great defense and pitched well.

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick lashed out at the team’s former video assistant Friday, saying in a televised interview that Matt Walsh was a low-level staffer who was fired for “poor job performance”

“There’s not a lot of credibility,” Belichick said in an interview broadcast on “CBS Evening News.”

    What a douchebag

Isn’t funny that Walsh goes “You don’t wanna know what I got. Not unless I get protection!” and finally when he spills the beans, he has absolutely nothing? Does that make ANY sense?

And then the Boston paper retracting everything they reported…. seriously, all this stuff spells cover up.

I do not have a fever. It started in my head and has moved to my chest. I have been on a diet of chicken noodle and chicken and dumplings since thursday night. Thanks for the concern. How about those homeruns vs farnsworth. That Wright bomb I saw before it happened. Much like the Kelly Johnson Grand slam vs Sosa and the other one I predicted on here right before it happened

  75. Comment posted by sheadenizen on May 17, 2008 at 5:14 pm (#696538)

I was a bit surprised truthfully. Not that I think Farnsworth isn’t
hittable, but he really has been much better lately. Hope this gets in his head and he starts struggling again ;-)

Fun fact: Moises Alou played his first game at Yankee Stadium after 1,936 career games.

  95. Comment posted by Chaucer on May 17, 2008 at 9:10 pm (#696551)

I’m not sure how anyone can bet against Big Brown. After waiting and getting the position he wanted, he had that burst of acceleration and in no-time flat was five lengths ahead. And then the jockey pulled him back so as not to waste the effort. That’s one special horse. Unless something happens, the triple crown has to be his.

I just got back to see that Hill Billy put out four to get the save. That’s a nice sign. I hope the rest of the season goes about this well. It would go a long way toward improving my mood!

congress should never, ever be involved in sports. that there was a congressional investigation into cheating in a sport pisses me off. with all the other shit going on in the country/around the world, how is investigating a sport even in the top 10 of priorities?
