I just got back from seeing Van Halen……I might be deaf.

    Does that make me old?

    It does.

Tim from STL: you really got me now!! :-)

You’re not necessarily old because you went to see Van Halen recently. My 15 year old son listens to Van Halen.

You might have a second thing in common with my son: he loves Pujols and Carpenter (and Edmonds and Rolen); we were there for a sabbatical year in 2004/5. We lived on Washington Avenue about a half mile west of the Loop and very close to Franklin Park in University City. Anywhere near where you live?

I see that you haven’t been on line for many hours, so I may never see a response.

i dont really love either jets pick but i dont hate them neither. time will tell but gholston is risky but they had to take him at 6 the way it played out or trade down…. and the TE they took was a reach imo. we’ll see.

I dont get it. We take two DE’s with our first four picks…….yet it looks like we ARENT getting rid of Jason Taylor. Why take two DE’s then? Makes no sense.

    And Henne = I dunno.

Booey whats crackin’ homey! The Giants need get themselves some LB help after losing Mitchell. Wish the Jets would have gotten Mcfadden…Gholston hopefully will help our D Line.

hey maggzz yes i am surprised the giants fifnt go for a ln there ,,, i mean they already have a couple young wrs moss and smith ,,,
yeahh the jets really should have lost that last game then i thiunk they would have had the 3rd pick and gotten mcfadden ,,,

  26. Comment posted by Dave Magadan on April 27, 2008 at 12:05 pm (#671509)

Yeah Mcfadden would’ve given our offense a much needed boost. Thomas JOnes is not a breakaway threat. He would get overly excited if he got an 8 yrd. run last year. Damn Raiders they already have like 3 good RBs but anyways.

WHatever happened to the kid from Ohio State a few years ago who got caught w/ the guns after trying to get drafted after his Freshmen yr?

  31. Comment posted by john on April 27, 2008 at 12:18 pm (#671513)

Billy (New York): Do you think the Jets will take Dennis Dixon with one of their late round picks?

Scouts, Inc.’s Gary Horton: It’s a possibility he could be a late round value pick where you roll the dice on the upside but he could just as easily go all the way through undrafted. There seems to be mixed reviews on him. Some teams don’t even have him on the board. Isn’t it interesting what 6 months can do to a career?

yo dep, I read you had mucho fun at the stadium yesterday ;) *cyber fives dep and kel*

I dont get why so many people think the sky is falling after 23 games, but I guess by booing the heck out of people things will get better. IMO only bandwagoners boo, but whatever…

i was there yesterday, and as always didn’t boo. But delgado looked spectacularly bad. I just cant foresee him “turning it on” anymore. Watching his ABs, his demeanor, it sure seems like this is his official swan dive

I’m glad the jets got Gholston. Although I liked Dorsey over Gholston I’m happy he went to the Chiefs. As much as I prefer the 4 -3 over the 3 -4, having Dorsey fall to the Jets would of been bad with their 3-4 scheme, especially with Jenkins already signed. From what I hear about Gholston he is a beast. He is the most athletic pick of the draft and fits the 3 -4 very well. I was a bit surprised that the Jets traded up in 1st round for Keller. I guess they valued him high and were afraid of the Giants (next on the clock) to pick up a TE to possibly replace Shockey. He looks like a possible playmaker at TE or even the slot that is ready to get valuable time this year. If Chad turns out to be the starting QB, then Keller will complement his game very well….less long passes to the sidelines.
