get the net, ramon
I was too busy whooping your argument up to read every post, by the time I was done I didn’t see it posted. Damnit, that’s why I don’t argue as carefully as I used to. I miss out on all of the other fun.
PHL, of course BSG-Original predates Macrosse. But it’s just funny how I keep on getting the Robotech vibe from this series of BSG.
If that was you arguing carefully, I’d hate to see….
OH WAIT LOOK! A SHINY THING!!!!
Actually, you are right. I can do better, I just need a better counterargument to work with. I’ll whip you better the next time around, I promise.
I’m sorry, what? I found a shiny thing. LOOKIT!!!!
LMAO
y’all are funny.
i may be able to find a pic of her, but i dont think i wanna!!!! ;)
hahaha Come on. We have to decide if she’s hot or not, Dep.
she was aight, you’ll have to take my word on it. not fugly, but not that hot.
Fine fine fine. Kill all our voyeuristic thrills, why don’t ya.
hahahahah, i’m looking i’m looking.
but honestly the last thing i need is that like someone knows her or her fiance on here. i mean that wouldnt be too good (for them!) lol
Alright guys, I got a go and write to keep up with my deadline. It was fun and all. See ya’ll game time. Peace!
hahah Even if one of us knew the groom in question, we wouldn’t say sh##.
Later “I pwned Lunkwill Fook for the 154th time and all I got was this lousy shiny thing”!!!
Dep, I will definitely click on this link. Go find it!
::shakes head::
lol
hahahahahahah Well, share it with everyone else, Dep. I have to get going if I’m going to make it to the game in time.
I cant find find one. sorry!
go lunky, enjoy the game
This was from a couple of days ago, but Fangraphs was down, so maybe some of you didn’t get to see it:
http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/is-he-done/
I’m glad i didnt see that, ugh!
I dont get the part about saying oh his BABIP is right around career average so it is what it is.
Can you just then ignore LD% and expected BABIP and how delgado’s babip is usually where it should be for most of his career?
it seems like i can make a counter case that he isnt completely done using different saber stuff. i guess that’s saber for you sometimes.
Hmm, lemme take a look at Delgado’s LD% vs. expected BABIP:
2002 - 19.6 LD%, .316 eBABIP, .309 BABIP
2003 - 27.0 LD%, .390 eBABIP, .332 BABIP
2004 - 20.6 LD%, .326 eBABIP, .293 BABIP
2005 - 22.7 LD%, .347 eBABIP, .338 BABIP
2006 - 17.9 LD%, .299 eBABIP, .276 BABIP
2007 - 17.7 LD%, .297 eBABIP, .290 BABIP
hmmmmmmmm, that does look a little on the low side. i took danny’s word
Thanks Jess. I needed that…ugh!
I mean he’s almost a 100 pts lower than his expected.
even that chart doesnt support that kind of discrepancy imo.
I dont know, i guess it just bothered me comparing BABIP to career BABIP and saying its right. That doesnt jive with me.
Imo, tying it to LD% makes a helluva lot more sense. at least more than just his career BABIP
and his LD% is higher this year than any other year except 2003. its not even close!
It makes sense that a slow runner like Delgado would consistently underperform his eBABIP by at least a little bit
I hope I’m wrong about this, but after flipping through Delgado’s spray charts, it appears that he’s only driven the ball near the warning track or beyond a handful of times this season. That’s probably more telling than LD% or HR/F analysis based on ~90 PAs.
FireJoeMorgan finally got around to Wally’s new piece
http://www.firejoemorgan.com/2008/04/small-sample-size-gilloolys.html
oh yea PHL, his ISO is toast.
his power is gone and aint coming back.
I may remain hopeful, but i aint kidding myself.
And people can say whatever they want, it makes Delgado’s career VERY SUSPICIOUS.
hahahahahaha, i’ll paste it here, its so good.
Funny dep, they were talking about that on the FAN today with John Heyman. And he said that Delgado has a reputation for a being a clean player all his career and that this is a natural regression for a slugger of his age who DIDN’T do steroids. I’m just reporting the conversation, but you’re entitled to your opinion.
Absolutely, what do i know. But imo anyone who all of a sudden stops hitting in this day n age must be looked at, its not fair not to. Andruw Jones too. he’s younger and maybe that make him more likely or whatever, but I am suspicious.
and imo, this aint regression. this is a cliff dive.
dep, where was that from?
The wally thing??? FireJoeMorgan, link from #29 on this page
I’m not defending him because I don’t have a clue. Andruw is much more suspicious to me because he’s way younger. And of course all of Andruw’s muscle has turned to flab. That doesn’t seem to be the case with Carlos. He still looks to be in good shape.
I’m suspicious of EVERYONE in this day n age.
It might not even roids, it could be amphetamines. According to some folks, 80% of ballplayers took uppers every day to play
maybe he just doesnt have the bat speed or the hop in his step without the uppers.
its all very possible or very ludicrous! Who knows!
(i wouldnt mind the team taking some uppers considering our 1pm game performances UGH)
FireJoeMorgan is spot on!
yes, that site is wonderful. if i honestly ever wanted to leave my job and go write about baseball, i would try to work for them. they are brilliantly funny
Yah, that chart you posted early today with the Mets record by day, time etc says we’re in for a bumpy road this weekend against the Braves. The only chance we have is tomorrow night….lol. Bring on those uppers!
seriously, i would instantly forgive them if we win ;)
Did you say at one point that you were going to the game on Saturday? Or was that someone else?
yup, that’s me. me going saturday with one of my boys. i wish hudson wasnt pitching.
maine v hudson = could be quick game
