Big Red, I wanna have your baby!!!!
good to see fernando! get some hits.
Duda with a nice 4-hit game.
Ruben Tejada is continuing to adjust and looking better. on base 3x last nite, not bad.
Good on Tejada and Carp. Murphy and Evans take ofers and are still batting in the clouds.
Got some good pitching down in NO. Stokes, Collazo and Muniz have microscopic ERAs in a hitters’ league.
Tejada is batting .310 over his last 10 games with 3 BB and 5 Ks. That’s what I’m talking about. I care very little about his power at this point. I just want to see him hit for a high average and take walks right now. He’s certainly adjusting to the league quite nicely after a slow start.
Evans and Murphy are in a slump now lol.
Really, if Tejada is getting comfortable in the FSL after less than three weeks at age 18, that’s pretty damn good. As people have noted, the walks (three in the past two games) are a very good sign that he’s not overmatched.
Lucas Duda is definitely on my radar screen this season.
Also, who is that Kid wearing Jose Coronado’s jersey, and what has he done with the real Jose?
Does anyone know what we have in Coronado? Is he a legit switch-hitting (.373!) middle infield prospect? He’s big but has no power so far. Can he play second base? If so, we might be buying out Castillo by the end of the year.
