Some Not So Good News

As many of you recall, last September, 86 Forever posted a journal to tell us the news of his having been diagnosed with a medical condition that could result in brain surgery.

After several months of trying to avoid the inevitable and suffering through many different medications, it was decided that brain surgery was necessary. The surgery will take place tomorrow. 86 Forever has asked me to inform you, as he will be gone from the blog for awhile and wanted all of you to know the reason for his absence.

I ask that we all pray, cross our fingers, wish on stars, light candles….whatever it is that we all do at times like this.

If you’d like to leave a message for him, please feel free to do it here or you may email me, and I will forward your message to him directly. I promise to keep you informed as I hear any news.

The good news is that he’s getting the surgery done at a great hospital with wonderful doctors who will take awesome care of him.

He’s become a good friend of mine away from the pages of The Geek and my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

    Keep your spirits high, brother!

They ought to be especially careful what they do with that brain, because it’s a peculiar one and may not be arranged in the most conventional ways.

86 is a really, really great guy. I don’t pray, but I’m keeping my vibe positive. Be well…

No! Say it ain’t so! 86, we need you here at the Geek! We still need nicknames for almost half our roster!

Shea, tell 86 to keep his wits about him (get it? brain surgery pun) in that hospital, and if anyone offers him Ambiorix, to just say No.
