I think the guy whos really going to impress us, well
besides Johan, is gonna be Pedro. He’s healthy again,
will not have to face the top pitcher from the opposing
team, and is in a contract year. I think he comes out
with a vengence this year. Look for Big numbers from him

How you guys gonna look for this year tim? The Central
is kinda up in the air right? Did they add any help for
Pujols? I know the starting staff probably could use
some help. But maybe a guy can step up here or there.
Comment posted bytim from STL.on February 4, 2008 at 10:27 pm (#605371)
gonna be rough…glaus, ankiel and hopefully Colby Rasmus is the real deal can help Pujols…like with everybody….almost cough cough…starting pitching is gonna be the key. I hope Wainwright emerges. The pen was solid last year…dude I don’t know. Anything can happen.

Well, not many people gave you guys a chance either.
You guys were going up against the Mighty Tigers.
Remember, they were the ones with the great
offense, real deep pitching staff and the had Zumaya who
could throw 175 mph (well close to that, lol) Thats what
makes sports special when the underdog comes out of
nowhere and wins it. Its why they play the games.

Championship and a Mets World Series and you can claim

With the Dodgers getting Bedard, I would imagine they
would be the team we have to worry the most about, other
than Philly and Atl, of course. The Dodgers should get
alot better.

Nah, I just read it wrong. Was doing to many things at once and kinda didnt read it all, lol It was on metsblog:
According to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the Mariners have sent OF Adam Jones to Baltimore, most likely for a physical in advance of a trade for O’s LHP Erik Bedard.
…just so long as bedard is not going to the Phillies or Braves, i’m happy…
During the Winter Meetings in December, ESPN.com reported that the Dodgers and O’s had been close to a swap of Bedard for OF Matt Kemp and RHP Jonathan Broxton.
