Im worried about Duaner, he didnt pitch at all for a full season. Thats more a wild card. Pedro I am deff confident in. I dunno why but I am. I just hope we have a great season, cause after watchin the crappy Jets all football season I need a team of mine to be good.

The best part of cheering for the mets is doing it with everyone here for sure.

we’ll be cheering with you and rooting for you.

The Mets have been saying he (Duaner) has been looking good thus far in the winter league. But, I’m trying to remember if we heard the same thing or not
last year at this time. The bullpen REALLY needs him back though.

Shea, I was also beginning to think that 7 Train was Izzy, but he was too fair to Omar…I don’t know, but you could be right.

  12. Comment posted by ITAC on January 30, 2008 at 10:43 pm (#601153)

Super T, I don’t think Omar trades Humber without feeling that Sanchez was going to come back strong.

Pelfrey never a factor: It turns out there was no chance that Mike Pelfrey would be included in the package for Santana. The Twins were interested in Pelfrey as a pitcher, but not as an expense. The agreement that Pelfrey’s agent, Scott Boras, negotiated with the Mets when they selected Pelfrey in the first round of the 2005 First-Year Player Draft established the pitcher’s salaries for four seasons.

Pelfrey is to earn at least $1 million this year, whether he’s in the big leagues or not. And the Twins, always cost-conscious, don’t want to pay anyone that kind of salary for Minor League work.

Wow the Twins want to really work on the cheap

  18. Comment posted by Wdwrkr35 on January 30, 2008 at 10:56 pm (#601158)

The Mets’ solid relationship with Santana’s agent, Peter Greenberg, should also help, even though many felt that Greenberg left money on the table two years ago by agreeing to that four-year, $23.25-million deal for Reyes. The Mets aren’t going to get much of a discount this time, you can bet.

Wow Greenberg is reyes agaent too. Omar had his way with him last time.

I think we are missing the point here guys. This is the second highway robbery you pulled this offseason. I still can’t believe that we gave up CHurch and B-Sch for a right handed platoon player who frankly is a one trick pony. I mean, Jimbo Bowden really was taken a fool. Glad we signed Estrada though. I think we fixed that problem. I want to believe that Milledge is good but I look athis splits and sigh.

    Really? Split personality?

7 Train was talking babes in here one day.
Izzy hated any of that stuff.

    The mystery deepens….
