We’ll see what happens.
I don’t know for who the fact that a 30 year old from Norfolk getting called up becomes interesting, is sadder for, thier fans, or the actual team?

I will continue to lobby for Jeff Keppinger - he will prove that he can hit at any level. Daubach = lousy attitude, inconsistent offense, and sub-par defense. As previoulsy noted, there’s a reason why he’s been in the minors for the past 2 years. Why do we need yet another 1st Baseman????
And…when does Willie move Ishi to the bullpen and Heilman as our 5th starter? Kaz could be the lefty out of the pen that we’re desperate for. To use an overused phrase (just ask any Phillies fan from last year) “now is the time”.

Our pal Doug Alphabet just hit a line drive double to drive in Wright - when was the last time that happened? Does Doug hear Daubach’s footsteps?

If Daubach’s arrival makes Dougy hit .250 it will be worth it! Daubach is a solid hitter - no more/ no less - which is a huge improvement to our current 1B dilema — and for all of you screaming for Diaz to play first - have you forgotten how banged up Cammy and Beltran are? Diaz will be seeing a lot of time in the outfield the next couple of weeks….

why have a guy like Daubach in the minor leagues if you are never going to call him up? oh and by the way the Mets have more than enough people to play 2nd base while Cairo is out. I have no problem calling up Keppinger but its not like Woodward, Matsui or Anderson can’t play 2nd.

PPS when you get a 6 run lead in the 8th….put in Minky as a defensive replacement.

P.S. Free Juan Padilla
Free Jeff Keppinger. That would make sense if Cairo is put on the DL, shouldn’t it be Keppinger?
