According to the excellent Peter Abraham from the Journal News…
DeJean tried to get a scoring call changed after the game yesterday, saying David Wright deserved an error on a play when Juan Pierre was given a hit.
As if there weren’t enough reasons to hate the guy…
Hat tip to erik from tha bronx
Thanks for the shout out Off, Ive never heard of a more selfish act by a reliever.I know david is a nice kid and all but after he hears about this he has to want to put his foot up dejeans punk ass.You just blew the game for us and all you can think about is throwing your 22yr old 3rdbaseman under the bus,so your F**ked up stats can look better? The Mets have to get this pillowbiter away from my team.
seriously cut him now, and while hes cleanin out his locker allow wright 2 stick a bat in his head
lets compare stats wright 299 8 29 with a obp of 397
dejean 5.21 era 16:14 walk to k ratio
i wonder who should be talking down 2 who
Un-f’in’-believable. If DeJean had a 0.0 ERA coming in, I still couldn’t understand that crap - maybe he should look up the definition of TEAM!.
Maybe this will be an excuse to get rid of the albatross!
Forget everything else about this — the fact that it was Wright, the fact that DeJean is terrible. What is really revealing about this is that it shows what DeJean is focused on and cares about. The game was lost, in the books, over. The ONLY thing he could have been thinking about was his stats, because that is the ONLY difference it could make.
Memo to Mike DeJean: It is generally not a good policy to get yourself linked in Met history to Bobby Bonilla. Congratulations! You just got yourself linked to what was probably Bonilla’s worst moment as a Met. Nice going.
